As future updates roll out, some answers may change, but we always follow updates with a new Q&A to ensure players have the latest information on Crime Boss: Rockay City.

AI Issues
While no specific AI questions were submitted for this Q&A, we want to address the community’s concerns head-on.
Our team at IGS is fully aware of the recent issues with AI behavior, particularly regarding friendly bots. This has been escalated to our top priority for fixes.

Update 15.1 Patch Preview
We’re currently preparing a 15.1 patch to address urgent issues from Update 15, including:
- Game crashes
- Critical gameplay bugs
While we don’t have a confirmed release date yet, we’re pushing to deliver it as soon as possible. Stay tuned for updates—full patch notes will be shared when the patch is ready to go live.

Mission Difficulty

QUESTION: Will “Operation Red Star” (Ranger’s 5th mission) be adjusted for easier gameplay? Suggestions: minigun shield, ADS, cover mechanics, or AI tweaks.
ANSWER: That was adjusted in Update 15. Enemy spawns reduced by 40%

QUESTION: Can the “Mic Drop” clipboard objective be made more obvious with better clues?
ANSWER: Since the clipboard isn’t necessary to complete the mission and it spawns in the level on every playthrough, we don’t want to make it super obvious. In stealth when you get close, there is already a Mac’s VO and the clipboard is highlighted, which should make it a bit easier to notice. We’ll look at the clipboard spawns and try to improve where we can.
There also is a bug with clipping that will be removed.
Tweak of the placement in Update 16.

QUESTION: Can the payout for “Mic Drop” be increased to match its difficulty?
ANSWER: We increased the Mic Drop’s payout slightly (from 180k to 230k). Will be in Update 15.1

ANSWER: Peer 2 peer limitation, connection quality of the host plays role. We are actively trying to improve the lobby

QUESTION: Can the co-op lobby UI be improved? Issues: confusing post-mission screens, no progression access.
ANSWER: We are aware of these issues, and we are actively exploring the possible improvements.
Co-op Campaign

QUESTION: Are there plans to add co-op to the Roguelite campaign?
ANSWER: No, we have no plans, rogue-lite is a single player mode.
Lobby Settings

QUESTION: Can “Invite Only” lobbies be fixed to prevent friends from joining freely? Suggested states: Invite Only/Friends Only/Open.
ANSWER: We can investigate that, not sure if possible. The easiest solution would be to set your status to ‘offline’ or ‘invisible’ in the Steam friends tab.
Desync Fixes

QUESTION: Could client-sided movement/damage be implemented to reduce desync?
ANSWER: This would be a rather big rework, and we do not plan it at this moment.
New Mechanics

QUESTION: Are EMP grenades deactivating lasers or other new mechanics being considered?
ANSWER: EMP affecting lasers is not in plans now. New mechanics are being considered. We would like to enhance the options of players in future.
Third-Person View

QUESTION: Is a third-person camera mode possible?
ANSWER: Whether or not is possible is tricky. It might be, but it’s not something we want to do. The game is an FPS at its core and we don’t plan on diverting resources to implement this currently.
Gun Customization

QUESTION: Will weapon attachments (sights, mags, grips) be added?
ANSWER: Yes, but not in the way you are probably hoping. There will be new weapons with new pre-set attachments. But a gun crafting system is not in the cards.
Throwable Items

QUESTION: Can we get a throwable gold ingot (like a brick but expensive)?
ANSWER: We have some ideas for future gear, including new throwables and perks related to throwables. We are strongly considering it.
Akimbo Weapons

QUESTION: Will dual-wielding (akimbo) weapons be added?
ANSWER: We are not planning on this now. It would require an animation system rewrite which would be a major divergence from our current roadmap.
Stealth Mechanics

QUESTION: Can enemy awareness of bullet impacts (for distractions) be increased?
ANSWER: It works; the range is limited to 2-3m. Any more than this and it would very likely break the games stealth mechanics.
FSR/DLSS Updates

QUESTION: Will FSR/XeSS/DLSS be updated to newer versions (e.g., FSR 3.1.3)?

Performance Issues

QUESTION: Why does the main menu GPU usage remain high?
ANSWER: Because of UE4’s handling of dynamic lighting. We’ll look at ways we can minimize performance impact without degrading the look of the menu. A possible solution is to put a frame cap on the menu in the game settings.

QUESTION: Will boss skins (e.g., Cagnali in stockings, Nasara’s white suit) be added?
ANSWER: Prestige Level Unlocks maybe? We are thinking about it. So, maybe the SP only unlocks will be added there, plus new skins. We’ll discuss this internally at the studio.
Location Reuse

QUESTION: Will underused locations (motel, police station) get new missions?
ANSWER: Right now we are focusing on fresh new content, but as Update 15 showed, we can repurpose old locations and put unique twists onto them.

ANSWER: It’s removed from the repeated victories. The cutscene still triggers after first successful completion of the rogue-lite campaign.

ANSWER: Kind of like a Jukebox feature? We can see what we can do. It would be also nice to add some new music tracks, we are thinking about this too. Nothing is confirmed now.
