Update 17 Notes

Hello, Bosses! We’ve got an exciting update for you today. Top of the list is a new heist! Get your crew, gear up and grab all the loot you can carry. Check out the full patch notes below.

OVERVIEW

• Rob Rockay City’s upper-class citizens in the new BANK ROBBERY variant.
• Every weekend is now a Double XP weekend.
• Gain mastery as a Crime Boss with two new HOW TO HEIST sections.
• Settle scores against rival gangs in Roguelite with several tweaks to TURF WAR systems and economy.
• Speed up your levelling with the DOUBLE XP event now taking place every weekend.

• Expanded the “How to Heist” guide with a Co-Op and Roguelite sections.

• Response Curve in controller settings was changed to a slider.

Roguelite

Turf war tweaks

• Failing Attack Territory weakens the attacked turf, so it will have fewer soldiers the next time around (ensuring some progress even when failing)
• Winning Defend Territory strengthens your turf, and you will face fewer attackers on it during subsequent attacks (prevents the same turf being steamrolled by repeated attacks every day)
• Slightly increased soldier counts on Hard and Extreme difficulties

Turf war cost balancing

• Soldiers cost less to hire when you start the day with fewer soldier (making it easier to get back on your feet)
• When sending soldiers, each soldier above the required minimum is slightly cheaper (when you need the extra help, it’s not as costly to send a few more soldiers)

Difficulty tweaks

  • The aforementioned turf war tweaks have the most impact on the Normal difficulty, and less on Extreme
  • Slightly increased enemy soldier counts on Hard and Extreme difficulty

Turf war cost balancing across all difficulties

• A missing character returning after a few days will no longer lose a weapon.
• Changed the configuration of starting characters to make DLC characters slightly more likely to appear.
• Stash categories are now ordered by volatility (more volatile loot can change its market value a lot every day, and doesn’t guarantee the price trend won’t change from day to day).
• Central Rockay City turfs should – on average – be richer and the industrial areas poorer (affecting mostly turf war rewards).
• The police ambush random event can now happen slightly sooner.
• Added ending cutscenes to the “Strong Arm Dollar Dragon” goal.
• Story trade expenses are now marked red if player doesn’t satisfy the requirements.
• Investigation Growth

  1. The investigation growth rate now scales with difficulty. Normal: 10% Hard: 12% Extreme: 16% (stats are without boss bonuses
  2. The number of detectives encountered at investigation thresholds is also affected by difficulty.
  3. Killing a detective lowers investigation progress by 9%.

FIXES

• Various problems with glass not behaving correctly when damaged or broken, shot at with slow-moving projectiles, or displayed for clients.
• JIP’d players didn’t see loot bags on other players if the other player was carrying 4 bags.
• Missions selected for Shuffle should now again support all possible variants.
• Prevented turfs neutralized by detectives from being immediately retaken by other gangs before the player sees them neutralized.
• Fixed a case when a gang being eliminated via turf war didn’t trigger the reward.
• The shortened cash value format is now displayed in more places (especially when the long format was causing issues in other languages).
• Cutscenes now have a slight delay at the end before fading out, which should help mainly with those that end with a short sentence and almost no time to read it.
• Explosive ammo of SPX Grenade should now scale its damage with upgrades equally as fast as the shotgun fire mode.
• Baker’s boss stats on the map should no longer incorrectly show 0 as the turf count.
• Revive count in character stats should now correctly factor in bonus class revives from level ups (mainly promoted Thieves).
• Removed loading tips still mentioning Quickjoin.
• Unified naming of Co-Op across various texts.
• Removed duplicate generic character names in Roguelite, making certain names more common than others.
• The character-specific weapon variants sometimes used an incorrect icon for the default skin.
• Touchdown will now get the correct level of perks in turf wars (level 1 → level 3).
• Cancelled warehouse defense random event should now properly refund all money and loot at risk.
• Turf war soldier shouldn’t spawn without equipment anymore.
• The Progression screen should now display correct progress count for perks.
• Fixed several typos, typographical inconsistencies and various localization mistakes.

• Voice chat for consoles is not available at this time.

Update 16.1 Notes

Update 16.1 Summary

New:

  • Mission reward adjustments in Co-op
    • Major reward boost for the “Art of the Heist” mission
    • Small increase for the least-played heists
    • Considerable increase for “Warehouse on Watch” and “Defend the Stash”
    • Minor increases up to $15k for somewhat difficult small jobs

Fixes:

  • Enemies drop weapons again
  • Fixed various localization issues in multiple languages.
    • Weapons and their variants with attachments should have unified names now
    • Corrected broken formatting of certain dynamic texts
    • Text that was too long to fit in certain places should now automatically scroll
    • Several minor typos should now be dealt with.
  • “Brescia 92 RS” should have a correct icon in the Progression menu
  • “Scorp Elite” should now have its default yellow-and-red weapon skin accessible to players who changed it to something else.
  • “Repeater” should not allow changing weapon skins; reverted to its default weapon skin.
  • “All that Glitters” and “Now You See Me” achievements should no longer be awarded for the recon missions, only for the final heist.
  • The “NEW” missions’ label sometimes kept showing forever, with no way to clear it.
  • Bug where objective to “Access security room” would get stuck
  • Missions should not be labelled as NEW forever anymore.
  • Fire extinguisher particle has physics now
  • Alarm triggers correctly when silent equipment breaks glass in Art Gallery
  • Edge case where client would see glass unbroken while server would see broken glass was fixed
  • Camera spy will now enter spied camera
  • Rare bug where number of AI bots would be wrong for clients fixed
  • JIP clients should see correct amount of bags on players in mission at all times now
  • Reload and Out of Ammo texts should disappear correctly in stealth
  • Weapon trajectory disappears after death of player
  • Bots should no longer get stuck in Save Mac in the train after botswitch
  • Ranger 05 mission difficulty fix applied again

Update 15.1 Patch Notes

Fixes:

  • Campaign – Crash on new day in campaign while having a lot of characters and perks fixed
  • Campaign – Player can now access stash and assets in standalone plotlines again
  • Campaign – Bonus objective ‘Get loot’ removed from missions where it did not make sense
  • Campaign – Cold Strike will now trigger in standalone plotlines
  • Campaign – Baker’s loot bonus label is now updating correctly in campaign character selection
  • Co-op – Client-side duplication of loot bags when another client joins in progress fixed
  • Co-op – Incorrect animation of hand on startup fixed. Clients should not look like holding bag anymore
  • Co-op – Urban Legends – Client should not longer get stuck in blackscreen after change of Urban Legend
  • Urban Legends – Character duplication in Urban Legends should no longer happen
  • Urban legends – Kill Hielo – Rodiac Jupiter has her equipment again
  • Missions – Mic Drop reward is increased
  • Mic Drop – Bots should interact with fireworks better
  • Mic Drop – The number of the truck with fireworks is now randomized
  • Mic Drop – If player gets downed while loading fireworks, they should no longer lose control over weapons
  • Mic Drop – Clipboard spawn locations revised due to player feedback

  • Payback/Mic Drop – Interactions should no longer reset FOV to default
  • Equipment – Client should see shuriken’s/brick’s/throwing knife’s hit mark when it hits an enemy/civilian again
  • Equipment – Shuriken/Throwing knife is on longer hilariously spinning when hit a teammate or a door
  • Bonus objective ¨Finish the mission within 5 minutes¨ is should visualize correctly for clients again
  • AI heisters should prioritize helping player if downed in stealth

UPDATE 15 PATCH NOTES

Update summary

  • THE LAST VERSE is available in Co-op and the campaign! Face against Hielo in three new missions.
  • Introducing PRESTIGE LEVELS. Level up past the current maximum level and earn a badge to show your status in lobbies.
  • Does switching loadouts for your Boss take too long? Add BOSS SLOTS and quickly swap between your favourite presets.
  • Co-op missions can now be freely RESTARTED from the pause menu when things go wrong.
  • COLD STRIKE mission is now accessible in the campaign. Wait for a call from the CIA as you gain influence in the city.

    • The Last Verse plotline is now available as an urban legend, campaign plotline and as three separate missions.

    • Level up your Progression level after unlocking everything to earn cash and prestigious level badges.

    • NEW labels are now displayed for unseen Co-op missions.
    • Recommended missions will now automatically recommend new missions added in the most recent update until they are played a few times.

    • Cold Strike mission becomes available mid-playthrough. Complete a heist, and the government may leave you a message.

    • Added some assurances that the generated heisters for hire won’t come with the same perks and loadout.
    • Added multiple new stats to the Details screen at the end of a campaign run.
    • The Armored Convoy mission has its own new icon to differentiate it from its easier variant.
    • The High-Security Robbery mission has its own new icon to differentiate it from its easier variant.
    • Timed heat and investigation effects (i.e. no heat for a day after the police ambush event) now display their duration in the Sheriff’s tab.
    • Paused investigation (e.g. in Cagnali’s Order) is mentioned on the new day screen.
    • A different cutscene is being used for the Strong Arm Dollar Dragon goal.

Fixes:

  • Fixed an exploit allowing high-level players to earn multiplayer cash only by restarting the campaign.
  • Tier 3 enemy armies should no longer be displayed in red when you also have army tier 3.
  • Fixed the Hard and Extreme difficulty warnings, which were sometimes shown for players well past the level threshold.
  • After purchasing assets or gaining a boss level, the asset shop should be refreshed right away in case there are new assets to unlock.
  • Certain heists weren’t configured to support stealth-related bonus objectives. They support them now.
  • The warning when carrying maximum bags now correctly says only the secondary weapon is allowed.
  • Prevented multiple lines from being skipped at once sometimes in cutscenes.
  • The starting character in the tutorial mission now has a melee weapon.
  • Several typos.
